Workplace Heath and Safety

The Henry Sports Club prioritises the health, safety and welfare of its staff, members and guests above all else. There will be no tolerance for the:

  • Intimidation, bullying, or harassment of staff, members or guests.
  • Discriminatory behaviour towards or about staff, members or guests.
  • Physical, verbal or mental abuse of staff, members, or guests.
  • Placement of staff, members or guests in a situation that contravenes Work Health and Safety legislation as relevant at the time.

Any breach of this will result in disciplinary action.

Dress Regulations

Members and their guests are to be clean and neatly dressed at all times to maintain a high standard. Management reserves the right to declare any dress offensive or not acceptable and reserves the right to refuse admittance or request them to leave if in their opinion the dress standard does not conform to the Club’s regulations.

To maintain the high standards enjoyed within our venue, we remind patrons that the following dress is not permitted at any time:

  • Hats are not to be worn inside the Club at any time.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times.
  • No untidy, faded or frayed clothing
  • No swimwear
  • T-shirts with offensive words or pictures are not permitted.

Managements’ decision shall be final.

Membership Regulations

  • Membership subscriptions fall due each year on 1st July and are payable in advance from 1st May.
  • Five year subscriptions fall due on 1st July in the year they expire and are payable in advance from 1st May.
  • A member becomes unfinancial after 30th June and has one month to rectify this position.
  • Under no circumstances are membership cards transferable. No member may lend his/her card to another person.

Loyalty & Promotion Regulations

  • Unless otherwise noted, all points will be removed before open of business on 1 July of each year.
  • Points can be redeemed for purchase of food, beverage or club activities, or any other offer as and when deemed by Management.
  • Tiering will be reviewed quarterly. The Club reserves the right to promote or demote any member at any time, without correspondence.
  • Only member whose photo is on the card can use the card to apply to any of the above requirements.
  • Member cannot pass their card to another member or related party to use on their behalf this includes participation in promotions.

Minors

  • All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times while in the dining or games area.
  • Any child found unaccompanied will result in disciplinary action taken against the member.
  • All children under the age of 18 must be off premises by 9pm.
  • In the event of a private function, children are permitted to stay on premise to the conclusion of the function, but must remain in the designated room under guardian supervision at all times.

Responsible Gambling Statement

The Henry Sports Club acknowledges the responsibility and privilege of holding a license to operate gaming machines and other forms of gambling within the state of New South Wales. Our venue encourages the responsible use of gambling facilities within the Club and abides by the Club Gaming Code of Practice.

The Board of The Henry Sports Club have formally adopted the following policy statement and will always:

  • Ensure the provision and use of gambling products occur in a safe and enjoyable manner;
  • The Henry Sports Club will prioritise customer welfare and sustainable gambling activities;
  • The Henry Sports Club will adopt responsible gambling and harm minimisation measures in accordance with the Club Gaming Code of Practice; and
  • The Henry Sports Club will promote the social and economic benefits of responsible gambling and the gaming industry.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy has been implemented to facilitate the responsible distribution of alcohol, and so that The Henry Sports Club’s patrons are served in a responsible, friendly, and professional manner.

The Henry Sports Club encourages patrons to drink in moderation, and to avoid drink driving.  Our responsible practices aim to:

  • Not to serve or supply alcohol to any person under the age of 18 years.
  • Not serve alcohol to any person showing signs of intoxication.
  • Not to serve any person to the stage of intoxication.
  • Not to serve alcohol to any person who are quarrelsome, disorderly, or violent.
  • To ensure the promotion and advertising of liquor on the premises is conducted in a responsible manner.
  • Avoid harm coming to persons as a result of our service of alcohol.
  • Promote and create an environment that discourages quarrelsome, disorderly or violent behaviour.
  • No person under the age of 18 years shall be served liquor at the premises. Production of a photographic identification will be required where age is an issue. The only acceptable proof of age identification shall be:
    • Photo driver’s licence, or
    • NSW Photo Card, or
    • Current passport, or
    • Key Pass.

Car Parking

  • The Club Car Park is for members and authorised personnel only; it is for use whilst on the premises. If you leave the Club for any reason you must remove your vehicle as well.
  • If a car is to be left in the car park, specific permission must be sought and granted by Management.
  • Members are responsible for their cars and their contents. All care must be taken when parking in the car park.
  • When leaving the car park, members and guests are requested to do so carefully and quietly.
  • The Club is not responsible for any damaged caused to vehicles whilst in the Car Park.

General

Any breach of these House Rules will be dealt with as an offence under Section 57 of the Club’s Constitution.

Any member who commits a misdemeanour and is to be cited to appear before the Board of Directors, will on demand by the General Manager or their Deputy, surrender their membership card until such time as they appear before the Board of Directors.

Any question as to the interpretation or application of these House Rules will be submitted in writing to the General Manager, who will forthwith submit same to the Board of Directors.

Where any House Rule is inconsistent with any provision of the Liquor Act, Gaming and Betting (Poker Machine) Act or other relevant legislation, the provisions of those Acts will prevail.

The onus is on every member to make himself or herself acquainted at all times with the Club’s Constitution and the House Rules. These documents are available on request.

No person under the age of eighteen (18) years may be admitted as a member of the Club.

Without in any way limiting the meaning of misdemeanour where used in these House Rules members acknowledge misdemeanours include any action word, deed or behaviour of a member which may bring the Club into disrepute or cause the Club to have any recording made against the Club by any disciplinary, policing or regulatory authority.

Patrons congregating may be moved on from an area where they are hindering traffic flow or as a result of security and occupational, health and safety policies.

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint, please put your complaint in writing, providing as much detail as possible, and forward it by letter or email to the General Manager using the details provided below. The General Manager, or another representative of the Club, will investigate the complaint and will provide you with a written response following the completion of the investigation.
